What is the nature of the scientific attitude? Our progress depends on two different aspects of science. The first these is the application of the machines, products and systems of applied knowledge of that scientists and technologists develop. The second aspect is the application by all members of the society, of the special methods of thought and action that scientists use in their work. A successful scientists is very curious to solve the problems in existing conditions. He is a good observer, accurate, patient and objective in thinking. He is skeptical and critical. He is highly imaginative in making hypothesis.

Against technology is the enemy of mankind

I never believe that science is the enemy of mankind. Had our forefathers lived their lives better than ours? No. It has given comfort in every way whether we look into our kitchen or bathroom, bedroom or drawing room. We have surplus food. We supply food to the needy. Malnutrition and starvation have been removed from many parts of the world. The revolution brought in medical science has proved a boon to mankind. It has increased the life-span. The discovery of medicines and technology has proved that science is the friend to mankind. Knowledge and experience of laws of nature and even of eternity have surpassed all other generations. Means of transportation and communication have made this world so small that all kinds of human transactions have become easy and quick. Means of mass media have increased in such way that people feel quite uneasy in selection. Science works to reduce the population growth by developing family planning and contraceptives. In the replacement of different fuels, solar power, nuclear power, hydropower, etc. have been developed. International help has become possible only because of the scientific development. Finally, I think that we would have worse life without science. Even scientific can change our way of living

Science and technology is the enemy of mankind

I believe that science is the enemy of mankind. It is the science that has caused the world war twice and the regional wars several times. It has given lot of weapons, missiles, bombs and all these has become threats, instead of blessings to mankind. Of course we do have surplus food, but there are people who are dying of hunger and malnutrition. Most of the budget goes to security and war like activities every year. Discovery of different medicines and technology has reduced the death rate and increased the life-span. As a result, the world is facing great increasing rate of population growth. Different disasters and natural calamities are also caused by the scientific activities. Pollution related with air, noise, water, etc is all result of scientific advancement in factories and other fields. Most of the mass media spread scandals. Aircrafts are used for war-purposes. Rules of morality and sense of humanity have been forgotten. Technology is a curse to human beings.

Dark side of technology

However, there is the other side of the picture. Technology has done the greatest harm to mankind in the field of armaments. The invention of gunpowder was hailed as a great achievement, but humanity should run the day on which this invention of took place. Steadily and relentlessly, gunpowder has been used and perfected into a hundred new more destructive weapons. In this connection, it is stated that if technology meant for mans happiness is employed by man for his own destruction, who can help him? It is certainly the fault of technology, if we go multiplying engines of destruction.
Before and now lies a new era in which the power of atomic energy has been released. That age will either be of complete devastation or one in which new sources of power will lighten the labor of mankind and increase the standard of living all over the world. It is for us to decide whether we will destroy the world with atomic bomb or re-build it with energy. If technology is misused, man will invite destruction to himself.

Technology is the greatest blessings to the poor home wife

Now she need not always remain busy in the kitchen. A thousand devices have been placed at her disposal to lighten her toil. There are electricity-run kitchens in which cooking is a pleasure. There are electricity serves the housewife to wash and press her clothes and to sweep her floors. No one could be more grateful then the housewife to the science for blessings. It has given her leisure to rest, to study and to attend better to her children.
No less happy could be the laborer with technology. Technology has taken upon itself the dirtiest of jobs. Man no longer need to do the bean breaking job of digging into the coal and iron mines with his bone hands. Every factory is a standing tribute to the come and comfort the technology has brought into our life.
But this is by no means the end of the blessings of technology. Another job that this servant does for us is to educate us. Technology has built large printing presses which produce large number of books at cheap rates. It has placed our disposal scores of means to expel ignorance from mankind. News is brought to us from every corner of the world through the ignorance find it difficult now to thrive. No longer can clever people deceive the simple and ordinary people of the world.

Technology has made traveling a pleasure

No longer do need to part sadly from our relatives and friends when we go to visit holy places. Technology has annihilated time and space. Trains roar through desert and jungle and man travels with safety and speed. But already the train and motor car have become obsolete means of transport. The airplanes fly across thousand of kilometers in an hour. You can take your breakfast in Dubai, lunch in Moscow and dinner in Katmandu and meet your family in Chitwan. The work of months and years is completed in hours. We can travel thousands of kilometres from one place to another place by train paying cheap fare so travelling is a pleasure today because of the blessing of technology. We have many other means of transport to make our journey faster, easier and reliable.

Technology is a most faithful medical attendant

It shows every care for our health. It cures us of many diseases. It has given us the power to keep epidemics in check. No longer are small-pox, cholera and plague are the scourge of mankind. Technology gives us the power to kill the germs, which spread diseases. There is hardly any disease today which can be called incurable.Because of it we are able to get medicine of many kinds of incurable dieseases which can be cured today. Today, we have many hospitals and health posts even in the remote places of the world. And even the poor people are getting medicine and they are getting their new life. Medical education is also very important to us and more people are willing to get this education. It is also the thing that it is creating employment for people. Many people are being employed in this medical field. That is all due to technology. Many new medical apliances are also being invented due to technology.

Power is essential to do any kind of work. The ancient had to use their own muscle power, animal power and the power of mind. Men gradually learnt to use machine power from coal, oil and electricity. because of the power of machine, human life is comfortable. The atomic energy has greatly helped to add comforts in life. In the past, people used coal power to drive train then they used oil power and now they are using electricity power. This is the gradual development in technology. Now solar power has been used in the remote areas where there is no possibility of other sources of power

Scientists have invented various means of communications like telegraphs,telephones, wires by the help of which we can send messages to distant places. Even computers have also been invented which is the more reliable means of communication. Now a days we can talk with the people in distant places at very cheap rate using internet. We can have a live chat with the people in different places, send e-mail and we can even see the live photo of the people to whom we are talking.Technology is very ahead in the field of information technology and it is also being very cheap and affordable even for the poor people. Now, we can see many people using mobile phones even in the remote areas of the country. Even the poor people can use mobile because it is very cheap to call from it. New means of communication have also been invented using different kinds of softwares. We have to take training to use these kind of softwares. There is a huge development in the field of computer. There are two parts of computer, hardware and software. There is the development in both hardware and software. So, people want the update of every computer program.It will be cheaper when the technology develops more new things.

In the past, there was no modern means of transport. People had to walk on foot which was risky and time consuming. They had to use animal as a means of transport even it is also not so easy. There was also not many roads as it is now. So, people had to travel from one place to another place taking many days and many nights. It was very difficult for them to do so. Technology made different kinds of transport and roads. Means of transport like bus, motorcycle, car, van, trucks, trains, ships, aeroplanes have already been developed and the tracks for them have also been made like the track for trains. Now, people can travel quitely, quickly and safely by the modern means of transports. We can round the whole world oin twenty-four hours by jet planes. All the developments in transport is due to technology. People are making new inventions in the field of transport. We can see different kinds of transportation on the roads. New models of the transport are coming in the market and it is the main point of attraction of the people. Once they see the new model, they want to buy it at any cost. It is the human nature.So, using the means of transport is the common thing now to save time also.

Primitive people had no houses of their own to live in so they lived in caves. Gradually, people learnt to make houses. Now a days, there are many houses having many storeys made by people.Ancient people didn't wear clothes.
